raise your eyebrows all you want [30 Dec 2008|08:22pm] got back to NYC yesterday... it was a whirlwind - flight left Omaha at 5am, got into NYC at 11, got home at 12, got a call from Webster Hall about auditioning for their NYE party featuring Lady Gaga, went to the audition at 3, came home at 6, had to be at Public Assembly for Monday Night Burlesque at 8, performed, went out to breakfast, and got home around 6am. and i'm sick. *achoo!* anyway...all of my NYE stuff has fallen through. the Webster Hall thing was interesting - they had already cast 5 girls and needed an extra. it was me and two others - they were going to be using Wings of Isis: so they said they wanted to see how we worked with them, but when i got there all they had us do was a double pirouette...simple. i nailed it, no prob. however, since they didn't check to see if the girls they had already cast could actually USE the wings, they discovered THAT DAY in rehearsal that they COULDN'T and needed someone with experience using them, which one of the other girls who auditioned with me had. *sigh* i could rant, but i'm too tired. since i'm still feeling crappy, i think i'm going to just sit in tonite, eat some tasty frozen pizza, and watch Season 1 of Beauty & the Beast (i got the boxed set for Christmas!!!) post comment
