speaking of images, took these last week when i stopped into the new Duane Reade at 34th Street/Herald Square.
(anyone else been there yet?)
meant to post them when i got home, but totally forgot about it.
aside from being really well laid out and somewhat upscale compared to the other DRs in the city, the upstairs floor has been arranged in an almost EXACT replica of Sephora/Ulta - and they're selling high quality makeup brands to boot.
this photo really doesn't do the colors justice.
haven't heard of POP before, but they carry an extensive (and awesome!) line.
there's a large selection of organic/vegan makeup

idk.
i bailed after about 20 minutes - can't handle the B&Ts.
Happy Ending was DEAD Tuesday nite.

well friends, this is LAME.
so far these are the ONLY photos i can find of my performance last Friday at TRASH!
you can't even see my ridiculous costume!
(its bedazzles to the 9's, includes a turquoise all feather jacket, two GIANT peacock feather fans, and a long peacock colored, completely bedazzled skirt with a 2 yard long train with peacock feathers extending off the back!)
oh well, i'll keep looking.

i swung by Kitty Nights Burlesque and then hit up the Suspension fetish party with my girl Annika last nite.
i came home to find this running around my apartment:

my roommate came back from Florida and brought him along - his owner lives in the city and friends had been watching him for the past three months while she got settled.

Divya of Ampoule was nice enough to send everyone an email this afternoon detailing the RIDICULOUS sale going on at The Feather Place in Manhattan this afternoon...
i got all of this nonsense for about $40 - which is RETARDED!!
a feather boa, two feather & peacock fans, a feather cape/wrap, and two packs of peacock trim.
tomorrow i'm hitting up the fabric stores and Conway to get supplies for the rest of the costume.
woo-hoo!!
Friday at TRASH - omg what is going on with my stomach?!!
Saturday i last-minute gogo danced with the lovely Gigi La Femme at King's County Bar in Bushwick...afterward i met up with Shannon Fatale, who was performing with God's Green Earth at Trash Bar in Williamsburg.
we hit up Beauty Bar Brooklyn to see Antonio, who was DJing.
i don't remember much, thanks to Brock giving us whiskey sours all night but i know one of the ladies from Butter Lane was there supplying me with free cupcakes so i can't complain!
i performed at One Night Stand last nite at Sapphire Lounge along with Della Dare, Brooklyn Babydoll, Bird of Paradise, and several other lovely ladies!
i'll be doing the same number at TRASH! on Friday, except with a different costume (working on finishing it now).
other than that i'm going to be volunteering at Calvary Church on Wednesday, which i'm really looking forward to.
don't have any plans for Thanksgiving - some of my friends are still in the city but to be honest i kinda just want to sleep in, watch the parade, eat at home, then maybe go see a movie.
last year i did the whole 2 Thanksgiving dinners thing and while it was fun, i kinda just want to take it easy this year.
we'll see.

debated whether or not to stop by HE last nite.
ended up falling asleep and popped by around 3am...
looking at the photo evidence i'm actually really glad i didn't get there until super late because it meant i missed the douchefest that had gathered earlier in the night to see Andrew W.K.

well it seems as though everyone had an awesome star-studded night at Sin Sin last evening...
and there i was at home stuffing my face with Savorings.
whatevs, they're fuckin' tasty as shit!
speaking of food, i'm currently looking into volunteering at churches/shelters this year for Thanksgiving - seeing as i'm staying in NYC and not heading home, i figured i might as well make the most of my time, right?
after all, i've been really lucky this year, what with the recession, people i know losing jobs left and right, and me still being able to support myself solely on gigs.

i survived!!
this weekend was one of those INSANE i-only-sleep-for-two-hours fests of ridiculousness i manage to get myself into once a month.
Friday nite was the Bobbie's Bordello show at Spike Hill in Williamsburg to raise money for Curly Tail Pug Rescue.
the show went well, and all the acts were amazing...i think it helped knowing we were raising money for wiggly little puppies!
i got a call from DJ Jess as i was heading to the venue, asking if i could be a replacement gogo at TRASH!
seeing as how i can never say no to work i hopped down to Webster Hall after the BurlyQ (and a stop at Foodswings for a vegan BBQ sub) and gogo'd in my pasties til about 4am.
then i RAN home, showered, changed, grabbed my kit, and headed to midtown to do makeup for the photoshoot i was working on.
did that til around 4:30, then met up with gogo fiend Shannon Fatale to pick up some outfits she was loaning me for my gig later that nite...
went home, took a 2 hour nap, got up, showered, then headed to Quo to perform with Stormy Leather.
can't comment much on the club, but the gig was fun. basically we were on a stage above the bar that was surrounded by clear plexi-glass.
we had a bed, some champagne and pillows, and just had to come up with three sexy scenes and interact with each other.
we painted each other's toes/gave each other massages, dressed alike and did mirror posing, re-enacted the Tempest Storm dresses Bettie act, and for the finale i was tied to the bed while Stormy poured wax on me.
oh, and if anyone cares, Samantha Ronson was onstage with us DJing at the time.
no sign of Cracky McCrackerson though.
now i gots laundry to do, cleaning to finish, and some Photoshop practicin' for a design job interview tomorrow!!
