just went and re-read a bunch of old entries on this thing.
hard to believe it's only been a year and a half since i decided to really "change my life".
6 months.
before when friends would say they could really see the difference i had no idea what they meant...but reading over these entries it's like someone else wrote them, not me.
i guess that's the one thing i can thank you for, after all this time.

a few things:
i had the pleasure of being able to perform in Atlantic City for my birthday weekend this year!
i was asked to be a part of the Cirque Risque show at Resorts Casino Hotel as the show's burlesque performer.
i have to say it was a wonderful experience being able to perform on a REAL stage with professional lighting and sound people, the cast was awesome, talented, and SO friendly, and best of all, it was a chance to get out of the dreariness of NYC and the circuit and spend my "special day" relaxing in a hottub and watching cable TV from my private room!
when i returned to the city i was pleasantly surprised to find that the photos i had shot with George Pitts last year have been published in the January 2012 edition of Supplementaire - Supplementaire 7.
look for it at newstands near you!
i will be gogo dancing at Cellar Bar tomorrow night in a special Thursday evening edition, and the Friday as usual.
speaking of Friday, don't miss the 2nd edition of SharkBite Sideshow ONLY at R-Bar Manhattan!
tickets $10, show starts at 8pm. part of the proceeds from the show are being donating to Shark Conservation via the Fox Shark Research Foundation. don't miss it!!

in other news, Lady Gaga has once again infiltrated my life.
got a text from mom yesterday afternoon that read "Lady was in town yesterday filming a music video. She was on a gravel road at 108th and Capehart Rd. here in Sarpy County. It was 103 degrees when she was filming."

last night i gogo danced at a benefit for Jellyboy, an NYC sideshow performer who was severely injured in when the apartment he was staying in caught on fire and he couldn't get out.
he has suffered 3rd degree burns on his face, head, arms, and chest, as well as damage to his lungs from smoke inhalation. he has been put in a medical coma and will remain in one until he has healed sufficiently...like all of us full time performers, he has no health insurance, so Albert Cadabra and the beautiful Anya of House of Yes put on an amazing fundraiser in Brooklyn last night.

well, another crazy week has come and gone.

of course, this unfortunately means my laundry has gone yet ANOTHER week without getting done.

oh my!
so much happening!
last night David, Zac, Andrew and i went to see Super 8...
it has its plot holes, but it's probably the closest you're going to come to seeing a REAL "Spielberg" type popcorn blockbuster these days.
not to mention, Elle Fanning is not only GORGEOUS but an AMAZING young actress!
can't wait to see what she does next.
tonight i am performing at "Spanking The LES" at Nurse Bettie in Manhattan.
i love love LOVE the venue, and the lineup for this evening looks wonderful:
couldn't have asked for a lovelier group of ladies to be getting naked with.
don't tell, but i plan on doing my latex act!

...so i guess i should update or something.
i've been so swamped with work the past week i don't even know where to begin.
two shows last week, double booked shows and gogo last weekend, OC on Monday, art modeling Wednesday, Hotsy Totsy Burlesque at the Coney Island Freakshow theater last night, double booked for gogo dancing tonite, art modeling tomorrow...then MORE modeling next week PLUS i'm performing at Nurse Bettie!!
WHEW!
did i mention i did an HBO pilot last week with Tea Leoni and Sigourney Weaver?!?!!
IT'S TRUE.
the show is called "Spring/Fall", and it's by the same people who did Sex and The City.
takes place here in NYC and is a comedy about the NYC fashion world.
the scene i was in was the funeral for a "major fashion designer" a la Alexander McQueen (aka RIGHT UP MY ALLEY!).
those of us chosen as "featureds" had to go in to get fitted for the show - so there were TONS of great haute couture gothy looks abound:

just getting to watch Sigourney in action was pretty amazing.
true actress - every time she did a line (and several of the scene had up to 15 retakes) she did something different that added to what she was saying and made the scene play just a little differently.
also, one of the other featured extras and i got to chat with her for a hot second and we both just about shat ourselves!!!
also saw X-Men First Class with my boys last week - unintentional comedy of the year, tbh.
we're planning on seeing Super 8 this Monday.
also, who out there is as OBSESSED with Game of Thrones as i am?
really, the more i get into the show, the more i can't help thinking WHY THE FUCK is Dragonriders of Pern not a show?!?!
seriously now.
anyway, i gotta get some sleep,
long weekend ahead.
