debated whether or not to stop by HE last nite.
ended up falling asleep and popped by around 3am...
looking at the photo evidence i'm actually really glad i didn't get there until super late because it meant i missed the douchefest that had gathered earlier in the night to see Andrew W.K.

well it seems as though everyone had an awesome star-studded night at Sin Sin last evening...
and there i was at home stuffing my face with Savorings.
whatevs, they're fuckin' tasty as shit!
speaking of food, i'm currently looking into volunteering at churches/shelters this year for Thanksgiving - seeing as i'm staying in NYC and not heading home, i figured i might as well make the most of my time, right?
after all, i've been really lucky this year, what with the recession, people i know losing jobs left and right, and me still being able to support myself solely on gigs.

i survived!!
this weekend was one of those INSANE i-only-sleep-for-two-hours fests of ridiculousness i manage to get myself into once a month.
Friday nite was the Bobbie's Bordello show at Spike Hill in Williamsburg to raise money for Curly Tail Pug Rescue.
the show went well, and all the acts were amazing...i think it helped knowing we were raising money for wiggly little puppies!
i got a call from DJ Jess as i was heading to the venue, asking if i could be a replacement gogo at TRASH!
seeing as how i can never say no to work i hopped down to Webster Hall after the BurlyQ (and a stop at Foodswings for a vegan BBQ sub) and gogo'd in my pasties til about 4am.
then i RAN home, showered, changed, grabbed my kit, and headed to midtown to do makeup for the photoshoot i was working on.
did that til around 4:30, then met up with gogo fiend Shannon Fatale to pick up some outfits she was loaning me for my gig later that nite...
went home, took a 2 hour nap, got up, showered, then headed to Quo to perform with Stormy Leather.
can't comment much on the club, but the gig was fun. basically we were on a stage above the bar that was surrounded by clear plexi-glass.
we had a bed, some champagne and pillows, and just had to come up with three sexy scenes and interact with each other.
we painted each other's toes/gave each other massages, dressed alike and did mirror posing, re-enacted the Tempest Storm dresses Bettie act, and for the finale i was tied to the bed while Stormy poured wax on me.
oh, and if anyone cares, Samantha Ronson was onstage with us DJing at the time.
no sign of Cracky McCrackerson though.
now i gots laundry to do, cleaning to finish, and some Photoshop practicin' for a design job interview tomorrow!!

so.
lately i haven't been that hot on Lady G because i kinda felt like her schtick was getting played out and transparent...
HOWEVER
i gotta say this video is FUCKING BRILLIANT
i need to start making more performance outfits like this!!
not to mention the makeup work is fucking SPECTACULAR.
they made her look amazing in EVERY. SHOT.
speaking of...i'm doing makeup for a lookbook shoot this weekend.

El Dia de los Muertos
my parents called yesterday to tell me they took Bailey's ashes and spread them in the garden behind the house.
all around the shed (where he loved to chase the bunnies that lived there), down by the lilac bushes and along the tulips, and down around the snap dragons by the foot of the deck.
i wish i could have been there.
on a brighter note, things are getting busy again.
managed to pretty much book up all of this week along with an audition on Friday!
crossing my fingers on that one, it's mad money, bitches!
also, Kelly left NYC for Nashville today.

Happy Belated Halloween Everyone!!!
oh man, yesterday was NUTS!
i had THREE gigs back to back.
first i performed at Last Rites Gallery's First Annual Creep-In, which involved performances from myself, the lovely Victoria Privates, and then sideshow mania of the Disgraceland Family Hooksquad & Freak Show.
THEN i high tailed it to the Double Down Saloon in the LES to gogo dance for their Halloween party, which was a blast!
so many creative costumes...i was impressed!
after that i RAN to Don Hill's to dance on the bar at Rated X: The Panty Party...which was fucking AMAZING.
apparently we had like 800 people show up...seriously, it was like back in the good old days of NYC nightlife.
everyone was dressed to the 9s...everyone was in a good mood, the atmosphere was great...couldn't ask for more.
5am a group of us hit up an afterparty at Beauty Bar...
Kelly and i (dressed as Bettie Page and OWNING it!) snuck out around 5:30 and went to McDonalds...hahaha.
and i've been sleeping ever since!
unfortunately i left my little black crop jacket (from this photo) behind the DJ booth at Don Hill's...i'm stopping by tonite to see if it's there.
i really hope it is!!
that jacket goes with EVERYTHING!!!

Curly Tail Pug Rescue.
they are an amazing group that aids in the surrender, rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of pugs in need in the greater Tri-State area.

tonite Kelly and i are going to see Paranormal Activity.
i have demanded that we see an early show, lest i get the crap scared out of me and am afraid to go home by myself, hahaha.

murh...
been a lil MIA.
just trying to get my stuff in order for this month.
October started off slow job wise, but has completely turned around with Halloween around the corner.
i'm picking and choosing gigs at this point - not that i'm complaining!
this is what happens when you know someone who makes their own absinthe
my friends later found me in the bathroom, all alone, just eating donuts and giggling.
i am performing four times next week:
once for a Halloween number with Stormy Leather, once at a Clue themed burlesque show, once at a Halloween themed burlesque show, and then at a Halloween party at a tattoo shop in Brooklyn!
also, on November 13th i will be performing in a special edition of Bobbie's Bordello Burlesque.
it is a charity show - we're raising money to help a local animal shelter that has run into severe medical bills and is having trouble finding the money to run the organization!
i will post more info on that later.
tonite i am gogo dancing at Don Hill's in Manhattan for the Take Back NY party.
on a non-performance related note...
APW Gallery is doing a Custom Dunny show and i am totally stoked about it.
waiting for my money to transfer from Paypal into my account so i can sign up for this...
am thinking about doing one Dunny totally on the grim and one ridiculously blinged out burlesque style...
